One page for the week
A place for loose ends, without building another system.
Use one page for a week of notes. Add the date at the top and keep appointments separate from ideas. A small margin can hold the few things that must happen on a particular day.
Write tasks as concrete actions. “Open the document and outline three points” offers a clearer beginning than “work on project.” Leave space to discover that the task was smaller or larger than expected.
At the end of the week, move forward only what still matters. Keeping every unfinished item turns a notebook into a record of obligations rather than a tool for deciding what to do next.
